Delicious & Fast Vegan Potluck Recipes
Are you not sure what to bring to a potluck or get-together as a vegan? It can be difficult to figure out whether there will even be food for you to eat unless there are other vegans attending too.
If this sounds like you, then the following recipes will give you tons of easy vegan potluck ideas. These recipes are fast, easy, and inexpensive to make. Most non-vegans won’t even mind there’s no meat because they taste so delicious.
What to take to a potluck that’s vegan?
Getting invited to a potluck as a vegan can be tricky. Likely, most of the other food will not be vegan so your dish needs to be something that you’ll eat.
No matter whether you’re looking for vegan potluck ideas for work meetings or other vegan party food, these dishes will work for them all.
Some of my favorite foods to bring to a potluck or cookout are:
- Casseroles – Typically easy to make, you usually toss everything into baking pan and bake it. Casseroles can serve large crowds of people inexpensively.
- Cold Salads – This includes pasta salads, bean salads, couscous salads, and quinoa salads. Just double or triple the recipes if serving large groups of people.
- Spring Rolls or Summer Wraps – Refreshing and light for the hotter months of the year.
- Dips – Everyone loves dips. You can use it with healthy chopped vegetables or other dippable snacks for grazing.
- Desserts – I typically don’t bring desserts to a potluck because as a vegan, I want to make sure there’s food that will satiate me that I can eat. If you’re going to an all-vegan potluck, then a dessert may be a good option.
When deciding on a potluck dish, it’s important that it travels well in the car and is easy to make. Below I’ll show you all of my favorite vegan potluck recipes that are proven crowd-pleasers.
Tools For A Potluck
One part of a potluck people typically forget about is the transportation and serving of the food. All the focus is put into what you’re making but getting the food to the potluck is equally as important.
Here are some of my favorite tools that I use for cookouts and group get-togethers:
- Traveling Slow Cooker – This one holds 8 quarts of food. You can serve the food directly out of the cooker and you don’t have to worry about glass lids breaking.
- Casserole Carrier – This one is thermally insulated to keep your food warm while traveling.
- Pie Dish with Lid – I like this one because the bottom is a glass pie plate you can bake the pie in. The lid fits over the top so you don’t have to worry about ruining your pie.
