Conchitas Con Carne (Mexican Hamburger And Shells)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground sirloin or chuck
  • ¼ sliced red bell pepper
  • ¼ chopped small onion
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 cups dried pasta shells
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 4 or 5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Brown the meat in a large pot, then add the pasta shells and stir.
  • Add the onion and bell pepper, and then the seasonings.
  • Add the tomato sauce
  • Add enough water to cover all the ingredients.
  • Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until the pasta is al dente, then serve.
