Homemade Mexican Beef Chili

If you love all things Mexican you will love this gorgeous beef chili recipe that’s loaded with beans and vegetables, and served in a richly flavored tomato sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • pounds ground beef
  • 3 cups dried pinto beans
  • 15- ounce can tomato sauce
  • 15- ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 32 ounces chicken broth
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 3 celery stalks
  • teaspoons salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoons chili powder

Instructions
 

  • If you have time, soak the beans in water overnight or for at least an hour.
  • Put everything in the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours.
  • If you haven’t soaked the dried beans, the chili will take another hour or so.
  • When the beans are tender, the chili is ready to serve.
