Homemade Mexican Beef Chili
If you love all things Mexican you will love this gorgeous beef chili recipe that’s loaded with beans and vegetables, and served in a richly flavored tomato sauce.

- 1½ pounds ground beef
- 3 cups dried pinto beans
- 15- ounce can tomato sauce
- 15- ounce can diced tomatoes
- 32 ounces chicken broth
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 chopped red bell pepper
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 3 celery stalks
- 1½ teaspoons salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2½ teaspoons chili powder
If you have time, soak the beans in water overnight or for at least an hour.
Put everything in the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours.
If you haven’t soaked the dried beans, the chili will take another hour or so.
When the beans are tender, the chili is ready to serve.
