Instant Pot Chili

This delicious Instant Pot chili con carne is so easy to make and it tastes so good. You can serve it with any sides you want and add all your favorite toppings to make it a perfect fit for your palate.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 28 ounces canned diced tomatoes in juice
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 24 ounces canned tomato sauce
  • teaspoons minced garlic
  • ¾ cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • 15 ounces kidney beans drained
  • 15 ounces pinto beans drained
  • Toppings eg shredded cheese, green onions, tomatoes, and sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Saute the ground beef in olive oil using the Instant Pot saute setting until browned throughout.
  • Add the onion and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic, chili powder, cumin, beef broth, paprika, sugar, salt, cocoa powder, pepper, and drained rinsed beans.
  • Select the chili/beans setting and cover the pot. Cook for 20 minutes.
  • Allow the pressure to release naturally or release it manually, then serve with your preferred toppings.
