Sloppy Joe Grilled Burritos
I love how it combines the flavors of a classic Sloppy Joe with the convenience and portability of a burrito.
Cook Time 20 minutes mins
Course Main
Cuisine Mexican
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 lbs. Ground beef
- 2 tsp. Brown sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. Onion powder
- 2 Tbsp. Chopped onion
- 2 C. Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. Bell pepper chopped
- ⅓ C. Milk
- ½ C. Ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 C. Cheddar cheese
- 8 Flour tortillas
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell peppers until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the brown sugar, onion powder, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the milk and 2 cups of cheese, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface. Spoon some of the meat mixture into the center of each. Top with a generous amount of cheese sauce.
Fold in the sides of the tortillas and roll them up to form burritos. Heat oil in a clean skillet over medium heat and fry the burritos until crispy on all sides. Serve with additional cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.
Enjoy!
