Sopa De Conchas with Ground Beef
This easy and traditional Mexican soup recipe combines beef with chicken bouillon, pasta shells, tomato, and onion. It’s a tasty soup that’s often served as a first course in Latin America. It also makes a flavorful lunch or supper.

- 4 C. Water
- 1 lb. Ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. Caldo de pollo powder
- ½ Onion diced
- 1 Can diced tomato
- ½ lb. Small pasta shells
- 2 Tbsp. Tomato paste
Add the ground beef and onion to a skillet over medium high heat, and saute until the beef is browned and the onions have softened.
Drain the excess grease.
Place the shells into the skillet along with the caldo de pollo powder, water, diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir to combine.
Cover and boil over medium high heat until the pasta is done to your liking.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
