This delicious one-pot beef and pasta shells recipe makes a lovely midweek meal, either as it is or paired with one or two tasty side dishes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground sirloin beef
  • 4 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta shells
  • 4 or 5 cups water
  • ¼ chopped small onion
  • ¼ sliced red bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika

Instructions
 

  • Brown the meat in a large pot.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients, breaking the bouillon cube up first.
  • Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Cover and simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes, or until the pasta shells are al dente.
  • Serve hot.
  • Enjoy!
